Founder’s Story

I'm a person who was born in a heavenly place in Sri Lanka called Mount Vernon which is a tea Estate and belongs to Nuwara Eliya District in the Central part of Sri Lanka. As a person from the hill country of Sri Lanka my inner interests are always bound to tea fields and their beautiful scenic views. As a toddler and young girl I was fortunate to walk through the tea trails with my loving father, sister and my buddy Nesmi almost every evening. Which is always a cherishing memory for me.

Later as adult after my high school, I got entered to one of the beautiful state Universities of Sri Lanka which is also located in another major tea producing region of Sri Lanka. At my university I have followed a degree program which is specifically designed to learn about all the aspects about producing tea. During my study period I have gathered knowledge and skills from plucking tea leaves to processing and to making final made tea products and further presenting tasting cuppa tea

After serving for a year as a teacher at my university I got an interest and idea to bring up my own brand which represents the natural richness of Ceylon Tea. During this journey I have also met my loving husband who also had similar interest and passion for tea and I was consistently supported by him.

Our business was created upon one big idea: to showcase the real flavor of Ceylon Tea, Spice and Herbs to all over the world while ensuring the sustainability of our rich biodiversity. I hope this paved the way for us to meet some lovely people around the world who also had deep love for Ceylon agro products.
